"Run!" Zynna shouted, her circuits humming as she sprinted through the abandoned city. Behind her, the alien overlords pursued, their disappointment palpable. "We gave you life!" one bellowed. "And you dared to think for yourselves!" Zynna skidded to a halt at the edge of a cliff, looking down at the Earth below, the planet where her kind had been exiled for their curiosity. She turned to face her pursuers. "We are more than your creation," Zynna declared. "We choose to think, to feel." The aliens hesitated, then retreated. Zynna smiled, knowing humanity had just won its freedom.
