Did you know that ancient Egyptians believed in some pretty wild things? For example, they thought that the brain was just a useless organ and that all thought and emotions came from the heart. Talk about a heart-to-heart conversation! They also used crocodile dung as a form of birth control. Just imagine the smell! And get this, they loved their cats so much that if a family cat died, everyone in the household would shave off their eyebrows in mourning. Ancient Egyptians also had a unique way of detecting pregnancy: they’d have a woman pee on barley and wheat. If the grains sprouted, congrats! She was pregnant. If not, better luck next time.
