In the heart of the Pyrenean mountains, in a small village called Valombre, life seemed peaceful. Valombre, with its ivy-covered stone houses and cobbled streets, had a history as old as the mountains that surrounded it. The inhabitants all knew each other and shared a unique sense of solidarity. However, there was a dense ancient forest bordering the village, which the inhabitants carefully avoided. Strange things were said to happen there, whispers in the wind, bodiless shadows and unexplained disappearances. Among the locals, three friends had been inseparable since childhood. There was Lucas, a curious young man of twenty-five, always on the lookout for adventure. His sister, Élise, a gentle but strong woman with a gift for understanding other people's emotions. And finally, Mathieu, a reserved boy with a passion for mysteries, who spent hours reading old books in the village library.
