Welcome to our journey through time, as we explore the history and construction of one of the most iconic wonders of the ancient world: The Great Pyramids of Giza. It is estimated that around 2.3 million blocks of limestone and granite, each weighing between 2.5 to 15 tons, were used. How did the ancient Egyptians accomplish this incredible task? Theories suggest they used a combination of ramps, sledges, and sheer human labor to move and place the stones. Workers built a series of ascending ramps, adding materials to the structure layer by layer.
