Jake's flashlight flickered as he crept through the tunnel's icy darkness, the echo of his breath mingling with distant whispers. A flicker of red caught his eye. Heart pounding, he edged closer. There, in the dim light, sat a grinning clown, smeared makeup cracking like a grotesque mask. Its eyes snapped open, black voids reflecting his terror. Jake stumbled back, but the clown rose, its grotesque giggle reverberating through the damp walls. "Welcome," it crooned, extending a gloved hand. Behind it, the asylum's barred door creaked open, revealing shadowy figures swaying in the gloom. The tunnel seemed to close in, trapping him in madness.
