The story of Samuel the Scarecrow became a local legend, a warning to greedy and cruel people. It is rumored that if you look into the scarecrow's eyes on a full moon night, you will be told words and encounter horrifying things. As the years passed, the field changed hands many times. However, seeing Samuel's straw still there, serves as a gentle reminder of human brutality and the power of the avenger.
