The old folks from the countryside are really tough. My dad once tried to be a dentist. Back then, a dentist was someone who pulled teeth, and there was no anesthesia. There was a crazy guy in my hometown named Cisso Cabecinha; when he drank, his head seemed to shrink, haha. My dad was sitting under a tree on a wooden stool when Cisso came and asked how much it cost to pull a tooth. My dad said, "Without pain, it's R$50; with pain, it's R$100." Cisso said, "I want the R$50 option, half the price." My dad told him to sit down, grabbed some pliers from the bumper of an old car, and asked which tooth. Cisso pointed to a tooth and when my dad put the pliers on it and pulled, Cisso screamed. My dad said, "If it hurts, it's R$100."
