The Pazzi Conspiracy, as it’s known, aimed to assassinate Lorenzo de' Medici and his brother Giuliano in the grand Florence Cathedral. Giuliano was killed, but Lorenzo escaped, turning the tables on the Pazzi. In a twist of fate, most conspirators were captured and executed. Talk about a Sunday service to remember!
