Why did Jesus claim that some of his followers would not die until they see him coming in the kingdom of God? Does this mean that some people who walked with Jesus are still alive today? But possible answer lies in John 21 when Peter asked Jesus about John after he himself was instructed to feed Jesus' sheep. But Jesus replied, if I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? Although rumors spread that John would never die, John was actually the only disciple who witnessed Jesus' second coming through the vision of the book of Revelation.
