Have you heard of Mithridates VI of Pontus, one of history's most fascinating rulers? He famously build up an immunity to poisons by ingesting small doses daily. Talk about taking "What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger" to a whole new level! But he was also a polyglot who could speak over 20 languages! Imagine having a king who could chat with almost everyone in his diverse kingdom without needing a translator. He was also famous for declaring war on Rome not once but thrice! When the Romans finally captured him, he tried to poison himself, only to find out he was too immune to die that way. Instead, he had to ask a loyal soldier to finish the job.
