**The Cursed Doll** In a quiet town, Emily found an old, beautiful doll at a garage sale. The doll had a porcelain face and eyes that seemed to follow you. Emily loved the doll and placed it on a shelf in her room. That night, she woke up to faint giggling. She turned on the light and saw the doll sitting on her bed, though she was sure she left it on the shelf. She thought she was just imagining things and put the doll back. The next night, she heard tiny footsteps and whispers. The doll was again on her bed, its eyes gleaming in the dark. Terrified, Emily threw the doll in the trash.
