Did you know that during the reign of King Louis XIV of France, there was a fart war at his court? The King himself was known for his delicate nature and despised any form of bodily function display. However, one courtier, the Duke of Montausier, took it upon himself to challenge the King's sensibilities by engaging in a fart war. This involved discreetly letting out gas in the King's presence, much to the King's disgust. The Duke even went as far as presenting a treatise on farting etiquette to justify his actions. It was truly a bizarre and comical historical event that would make even the most serious monarch crack a smile.
