Yavuz Selim was visiting the graves of some Islamic elders in Damascus and its surroundings. The location of His Excellency Muhyiddin Arabi, whom he respected very much, was unknown to anyone. Because centuries ago, his grave was turned into ruins and lost due to the influence of some Syrian scholars who misunderstood and opposed his works. One night, in his dream, Yavuz Selim saw Muhyiddin Arabi saying to him: "Oh Selim! I was waiting for you to come. You are safe, welcome. I give you the good news of the Egyptian war. In the morning, ride a black horse. He will take you to me. He will take you to me. Raise me from the land of disgrace and build a tomb, a mosque and a soup kitchen for me. Go ahead and conquer Egypt!” In the morning, Yavuz rides a black horse. The horse goes and stops at a garbage dump in Salihiyye District and starts scratching. When it is opened, a large stone comes out. "This is Muhyiddin's grave" is written in Arabic on it. Yavuz Selim cleans the place and reveals the grave. Yavuz came to Damascus again in October, about nine months after the Battle of Ridaniye on January 22, 1517 and the conquest of Egypt, and stayed for more than four months. During this period, he built a tomb on the Sheikh's grave and a mosque and soup kitchen next to it. It also opens with the first Friday prayer. (February 5, 1518)
