Video - The Atheist Island: Raising Rational Children
Ateíston was already tired of his life in society. As a convinced atheist, he persuaded his wife, Duvidosa, to move to a deserted island outside the possession of any country. There, he settled far from the most harmful idea he knew: God. Desiring that his children would not grow up hearing all that religious nonsense, he began his life with his wife away from all of society, still so backward and affected by the notion of divinity. After some time, his wife became pregnant. They were twins, and this made Ateíston very happy: - "Finally!" – thought Ateíston – "I will found a society based on reason and far from all that mysticism and fanciful ideas." A few years passed, and his children, now teenagers, were seen by Ateíston arguing. With so much teaching about evolution, the Big Bang, physics, chemistry, mathematics, and existentialist philosophy, the subject could not be anything else: what is the purpose of all this.
