In the dead of night, Sarah woke to the sound of rustling in her kitchen. Heart pounding, she crept downstairs to investigate. The room was shrouded in darkness, the only light coming from the refrigerator. Opening it, she found leftovers neatly arranged on the shelves. Confused, she closed the door, only to hear a sinister chuckle behind her. Whipping around, she saw a figure lurking in the shadows, its face twisted into a malevolent grin. "You shouldn't have come down, Sarah," it whispered, before lunging at her with jagged teeth gleaming in the faint light. The fridge was never empty again.
