Did you know that George Washington had a thing for alcohol? He owned one of the largest distilleries in America, producing over 11,000 gallons of whiskey a year. Speaking of presidents, Thomas Jefferson once tried to introduce macaroni and cheese to the U.S., but it didn't catch on until much later. And here's a spicy one: in 1814, Washington D.C. was invaded by the British, who set fire to the White House.
