The Woman Caught in Adultery: In John 8:1-11, Jesus is teaching in the temple courts when the Pharisees bring a woman caught in adultery. They say, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery. The Law of Moses commands us to stone her. What do you say?" They were trying to trap Jesus. Jesus bent down and wrote on the ground. When they kept questioning him, he stood up and said, "Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her." One by one, they left, until only Jesus and the woman remained. Jesus asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" She replied, "No one, sir." Jesus said, "Then neither do I condemn you. Go now and leave your life of sin."
