Video - Lost and Found: Hansel and Gretel's Sweet Escape

A poor family decides to abandon their two children, Hansel and Gretel, in the forest due to financial difficulties. The children, overhearing their parents’ plan, use white pebbles to mark their way home after being left in the forest. However, when they are abandoned again, Hansel can only scatter breadcrumbs, which are eaten by birds, causing them to get lost. While wandering, they find a house made of candy and cakes, which they begin to eat out of hunger. Unfortunately, the house belongs to an evil witch who captures Gretel and plans to eat her. She locks Gretel in a cage and forces Hansel to eat to fatten him up. Gretel, using her cleverness and bravery, tricks the witch into the oven and rescues Hansel. They then find the witch’s treasure and make their way back home. Their parents, having regretted their actions, welcome them back with open arms. The family, now free from their previous hardships, lives happily ever after.
