CV Members Attempt to Invade the Quitanda Favela in Costa Barros On Saturday night, members of Morro do Chapadão, belonging to Comando Vermelho (CV), attempted to invade the community of Quitanda, controlled by the Third Comando Puro (TCP), in Costa Barros, north of Rio de Janeiro. This was yet another invasion attempt by former members of the group "Cheio de Ódio", who are now allied with Chapadão after being expelled from Quitanda. The confrontation resulted in several casualties on both sides. The death of a member known as "Frango", one of the main fighters of Complexo do Chapadão, stood out. TCP's rivals recorded videos vandalizing his body, and in the end, they dragged him and threw him into a São João bonfire that was taking place there.
