Max bolted out the door, chasing after his mischievous beagle, Buster, who had just snatched his homework. "Come back here, you little thief!" Max yelled, his feet pounding the pavement. Buster darted through the park, dodging kids and leaping over benches. As Max closed in, he saw Buster dive into a bush. He reached in, expecting the worst, only to pull out his slightly slobbery but intact homework. Buster wagged his tail, looking pleased with himself. Max laughed, shaking his head. "You just wanted to play, huh?" He gave Buster a scratch behind the ears. "Next time, let's stick to fetch."
