Video - Heard by God: The Story of Hannah and Samuel
In ancient times, in a barren land, lived Hannah, a woman deeply saddened by her inability to bear children. Despite being loved by her husband Elkanah, she suffered constant provocation from Peninnah, Elkanah's other wife. Determined, Hannah turned to the Lord in the Temple and, in fervent prayer, made a vow: if God gave her a son, she would dedicate him to divine service for his entire life. The priest Eli, upon hearing her story, blessed her, and miraculously, Hannah gave birth to a son, Samuel, whose name means "Heard by God." Faithful to her promise, Hannah took Samuel to the Temple to be raised in the Lord's service. Her unwavering faith transformed her sorrow into joy and changed the history of her people, teaching us that true devotion can turn sadness into purpose and bring hope through prayer.
