SARAH (to herself) Weird...it's not even that cold. <center>SOUND of papers rustling</center> Sarah looks up, startled. A chill wind blows through the living room. She rushes to the window – already closed. <center>SOUND of faint tapping on the walls</center> SARAH (uneasily) Hello? No answer. Shadows flicker in the corner of her eye, then vanish as she turns. [SCENE END] **INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT** Sarah lies awake in bed, eyes wide with fear. <center>SOUND of whispers echoing in the hallway</center> A floorboard creaks. A door handle slowly turns. Sarah pulls the covers over her head, trembling. [SCENE END] **INT. APARTMENT - DAY** Sarah frantically searches online, her face pale. SARAH (whispering) There has to be something...some explanation... Her search yields no answers. The apartment's history is clean. A book falls from a shelf behind her. Sarah whips around, but no one is there. [SCENE END] **INT. APARTMENT - NIGHT** Sarah huddles on the couch, clutching a blanket. A photo frame on the wall tilts, then crashes to the floor. <center>SOUND of heavy footsteps approaching</center> Terror grips Sarah's face. She backs away, bumping into the coffee table. A tall, gaunt figure appears in the doorway. Elongated limbs. Hollow eyes. Sarah opens her mouth to scream, but no sound comes out. [SCENE END] **EXT. APARTMENT BUILDING - DAY** Sarah stumbles out of the building, carrying a small suitcase. Her eyes are haunted, her movements frantic.
