Did you know that King Charles VI of France believed he was made of glass and could shatter at any moment? He insisted on wearing reinforced clothing to protect himself from breaking. Even weirder, during the Great Cat Massacre of Paris in the 1730s, cats were accused of being witches and were brutally killed by the townspeople. But the craziest part is that the townspeople believed that killing the cats would bring an end to their bad luck. Imagine blaming all your problems on innocent felines!
