Luna dashed through the forest, her laughter mingling with the rustling leaves. Beside her, Rex bounded happily, tail wagging. Suddenly, a yelp pierced the air. Luna turned to see Rex stuck in a thorny bush. Her heart pounded as she carefully freed him, her hands trembling. Rex licked her fingers gratefully, his eyes shining with trust. They resumed their run, the sun casting a golden glow through the trees. Luna felt an overwhelming joy, knowing that no matter what, she and Rex would always have each other. As they reached the clearing, Luna whispered, "Forever, Rex." And he wagged his tail.
