Video - Daffy's First Splash: Conquering Fear One Toe at a Time
Daffy the duckling trembled at the water's edge. All his siblings splashed and quacked with joy, but Daffy was afraid. "Come on, Daffy!" they called. But Daffy shook his head, his tiny feet glued to the grassy shore. One day, a wise old turtle named Toby spotted Daffy's fear. "Why are you afraid, little one?" Toby asked. Daffy whispered, "The water is so big and scary." Toby smiled kindly. "Try dipping just one toe," he suggested. Daffy took a deep breath and dipped one tiny toe into the water. It was cool and refreshing! Day by day, Daffy dipped more toes until he was paddling with delight. "I did it!" he quacked loud enough for all to hear. His siblings cheered, and Daffy no longer feared the water. Instead, he loved every splash and ripple.
