Did you know that during the Spanish Inquisition, if a person was accused of heresy, they would be subjected to torture until they confessed? Some of the torture methods included the rack, waterboarding, and the iron maiden. One famous method called "the Judas Cradle" involved lowering the accused onto a sharp pyramid-shaped seat, causing unimaginable pain and often leading to death. The accused were often forced to confess to crimes they didn't commit just to end the torture. How would you have fared under such intense pressure to confess?
