Once upon a time there was Cinderella, an orphan girl who was raised by her stepmother. Both the stepmother, an evil woman, and her two daughters, treated Cinderella with disdain and used every opportunity they had to humiliate the young woman. One fine day the king of the region offered a ball so that the prince could find his future wife and instructed that all the single women of the kingdom to attend. With the help of a fairy godmother, Cinderella got a beautiful dress to go to the ball. His only condition was that the girl would come home before midnight. The prince, when he saw the beautiful Cinderella, soon fell in love.
