As winter approached, the Barker household buzzed with excitement for Christmas. The dogs loved the holiday season, with its abundance of treats, cozy fires, and the tantalizing presence of the Christmas tree. The Barkers spent an entire day decorating the tree, hanging ornaments, and stringing lights. The dogs, of course, wanted to help. Max tried to hang an ornament but ended up knocking several off the tree with his tail. Bella, ever the queen, insisted on sitting on the tree skirt as if it were her royal throne. Rocky found the tinsel irresistible and began pulling it around the house like a shiny snake. Daisy, thrilled by the new decorations, decided the tree was the perfect place to stash her collection of sticks. One evening, just before Christmas, the Barkers went out to a holiday party, leaving the dogs home alone. They made sure the tree was secure and left a plate of dog-friendly cookies on the counter. But the temptation was too much for the mischievous quartet. As soon as the Barkers left, the dogs sprang into action. Max tried to reach the cookies but ended up pulling the tablecloth off, sending the cookies flying. Bella, offended by the mess, started barking orders at the others.
