As a man passed by some elephants, he was puzzled that such large creatures were held by only a small rope tied to their front leg. They could break free anytime but didn't. He asked a trainer why. The trainer explained, “When they're young, we tie them with the same rope. It's enough to hold them then. As they grow, they're conditioned to believe they can't break away, so they never try.” Amazed, the man realized the elephants stayed bound by a false belief. Like them, we often don't attempt things because we failed before. Failure is part of learning; never give up.
