Video - Apple Pie Caper
One sunny afternoon, Mrs. Barker decided to bake her famous apple pie for the town fair. The tantalizing aroma wafted through the house, and the dogs, sensing an opportunity for mischief, gathered in the kitchen. Mrs. Barker placed the freshly baked pie on the windowsill to cool, reminding the dogs in her sternest voice, âNow, you lot behave! This pie is for the fair, and no one is to touch it!â As soon as she left the room, the dogs huddled together in a canine conference. Max suggested they simply wait until nightfall and sneak a slice, but Bella, ever the diva, declared that she couldnât wait that long. Rockyâs eyes twinkled with mischief, and he proposed an elaborate plan. Rocky, being the smallest, would climb onto Maxâs back to reach the windowsill. Daisy would serve as the lookout, and Bella would distract Mrs. Barker by causing a ruckus in the living room. The plan was set, and the dogs sprang into action. Max positioned himself under the windowsill, and Rocky clambered onto his back. Daisy stood by the door, her ears perked up, ready to signal if Mrs. Barker returned. Bella, with her best innocent look, pranced into the living room and began barking at an invisible intruder. Just as Rocky was about to grab the pie, Mrs. Barkerâs voice rang out. âWhatâs going on in here?â she demanded. Startled, Rocky slipped and knocked the pie off the sill. It landed on Maxâs head, covering him in apples and crust. Mrs. Barker walked in to find Bella barking at the couch, Max looking sheepish with pie on his head, Rocky dangling from the windowsill, and Daisy wagging her tail as if to say, âMission accomplished!â Despite the mess, she couldnât help but laugh at the sight. âOh, you silly dogs!â she chuckled, patting Maxâs head. âLooks like weâll need a new pie for the fair.â
