There exists a very mysterious and strange sect of spiritual practitioners in India known as the Aghoris. The members of this sect see Lord Shiva as the Supreme Being and live extremely unusual and unorthodox lives. The word "Aghora" means "fearless" or "beyond the extreme," and these practitioners are known for performing strange practices. They often live in cremation grounds, use real human skulls as begging bowls, and engage in meditation while sitting on human corpses. A true Aghori is a person who cannot bear the separation from Shiva and is willing to do anything to become one with Him. They believe that there is no pure or impure because everything has come from Shiva, so nothing can be impure. Aghoris keep themselves free from dogma and creed, seeing Shiva in everything and everything as Shiva. Their ultimate goal is to become Shiva themselves, embodying the principle of true Advaita or non-duality. This deep spiritual path challenges conventional norms and seeks to transcend the dualities of life, embracing the totality of existence.
