Harold and Patches settled into a comfortable routine. Each morning, Patches would nudge Harold awake, her purrs filling the room with a soothing hum. They shared breakfast by the kitchen window, watching the world outside. Harold sipped his tea while Patches nibbled on her food. They would spend the mornings in the garden, where Harold tended to his flowers, and Patches chased butterflies and birds.
